The area covers Webster, Greene, Christian, Stone, and Barry counties. Cities within the basin include Springfield, Ozark, Nixa, Rogersville, Reeds Spring, Kimberling City, Cassville, Seymour, Marshfield, Strafford, Brookline, Clever, Billings, Republic, Diggins, Fordland, Purdy, Butterfield, Exeter, Washburn, Galena, Crane, and Sparta
