Dairy cattle, beef cattle, and pigs are the primary livestock grown in the Sac River Basin. Few sheep, lambs, turkeys, and chickens raised in the basin.

In 2002, over 15,000 hogs and pigs were raised in counties in the Sac River Basin, valuing almost $1.1 million. Dade County produced the most hogs and pigs in the Sac River Basin.
