The North Project uses a variety of educational formats to reach and bring together decision makers throughout the watershed. Major educational outreach falls into these categories.

Workshops on a variety of issues. These offerings are developed to meet criteria of a variety of certifying agencies. Continuing education has been offering on a regular basis to real-estate professional , certified crop consultants, waste/water operators, licensed loan inspectors, in-school teachers and others.

Annual regional watershed conference. This event is developed in a format to reinforce the issues areas spelled out in the WRAS. To date, four conferences have been held. Mini-tours are often incorporated to provide   up-close, hand-on experience with BMPs and other management solutions

Youth And Teacher Education. The North Fork Project has partnered with the Mark Twain Lake Corps of Engineers to add a water festivals to the annual environmental education day. The Project has development  a Water Activities Day with the Kirksville public schools to target Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) skills . In 2004, the project will offer a for-credit course (Watershed Concepts and Curriculum) in cooperation with Truman State University

Quarterly Newsletter. This publication is also developed in a format to reinforce the issue areas spelled out in the WRAS. The newsletter is used to publicize watershed management efforts, on-going local research, and planned events. Authors are solicited from the Watershed Advisory Council (steering committee and technical panel) and from a variety of local/regional resource persons
