Elk River Basin - Plants and Animals
Fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, mussels, crayfish, and many plants are found in the Elk River Basin. You can find more information about the plants and animals discussed below through the Missouri Fish and Wildlife Information Service at http://www.conservation.mo.gov/nathis/mofwis/search.htm. Threatened and Endangered Plants and Animals Within the Elk River Basin there are four federally endangered species and two federally threatened species. State agencies also have lists of endangered and threatened species. See the table below for a list of organisms found within the Elk River Basin that are of conservation concern. |
